I love this quote "I am in charge of how I feel and today I choose happiness." its it soooo true. We keep forgetting that we're truly in charge of how we feel every single day. Getting you up you get to decide how whether you want to be happy or not. The decision is truly yours! Wake up with a smile everyday, enjoy little things, life is about journey not destination!
Much of what we see in the world is a reflection of how we feel inside. The brain is literally creating your experience moment to moment, and part of this is by top-down processes. This means that your prefrontal cortex, the newest part of your brain, which deals with your thoughts, is relaying information to your mammalian cortex, which handles emotions. These emotions then go on to inform deeper and older parts of the brain, including sensory experience and pain. This means that when we say a positive attitude can recreate your reality, it’s not just a metaphor, it’s a physiological fact!

It’s alright if storms are upon you, for they’ll teach you lots about how to sail your ship. Instead of hoping against hope for calm waters, it’s better to embrace the challenges life brings and learn how to handle them. Life is going to present you with a series of events and circumstances that may not be to your liking, and how you deal with them will determine what you get next. Once you learn how to sail your ship, you’ll be able to navigate future challenges even better, and recover more quickly.
“Successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what is going on around them. They stay focused on their past successes rather than their past failures, and on the next action steps they need to take to get them closer to the fulfillment of their goals rather than all the other distractions that life presents to them.” – Jack Canfield

Inspirational indeed. I’m a 17-year-old student and struggling through my final exams that will determine whether or not I get into university. All the quotes are helpful, it gives one hope when hope is perched at the window about to leave. I made a lot of mistakes with regards to studying, but have come to the realization that none of that matters, all that does matter is the present moment and whether we to choose to say yes or no, every moment is an opportunity. Here are a few quotes to add to this collection:

If you want to have power, it’s yours for the taking but you actually have to grab it, it won’t be handed to you. This is a quote that can come in handy if you’re thinking that you will breeze through life and have things given to you without any effort. Taking the power may not be an easy task, which is why so many people never get any, but that just makes it that much more worthwhile. With power you’re able to have more influence over the world around you, and you’ll have an easier time getting what you want.
Margaret Thatcher hit the nail on the head with this quote. She’s saying that women get things done while men spend their time talking about it. It makes you wonder how many famous men had not-so-famous women behind them getting things done. Men are often viewed as the movers and shakers of the world, but women have a knack of getting things done as well, and this is the basis of her quote. It can also be translated as men are better orators, but that’s a debate for another day.
It is too important to start a day with the best possible mood. How can you do this on your own, our beloved ladies? We definitely should help you by sending you some similar phrases that will remind you that you are loved, adored and respected. Your men remember about you even when they go to work to their angry bosses; when they walk home to the parents after a night with you; when they just go to a shop for a milk for your breakfast.
“But on a Sunday morning when I want to grab an omelet over girl talk, I’m at a loss. My Chicago friends are the let’s-get-dinner-on-the-books-a-month-in-advance type. We email, trading dates until we find an open calendar slot amidst our tight schedules of workout classes, volunteer obligations (no false pretenses here, the volunteers are my friends, not me, sadly), work events, concert tickets and other dinners scheduled with other girls. I’m looking for someone to invite to watch The Biggest Loser with me at the last minute or to text “pedicure in half an hour?” on a Saturday morning. To me, that’s what BFFs are.”
"Every friendship travels at sometime through the black valley of despair. This tests every aspect of your affection. You lose the attraction and the magic. Your sense of each other darkens and your presence is sore. If you can come through this time, it can purify with your love, and falsity and need will fall away. It will bring you onto new ground where affection can grow again." John O'Donohue
10.) “A friend is a person with whom I may be sincere. Before him I may think aloud. I am arrived at last in the presence of a man so real and equal, that I may drop even those undermost garments of dissimulation, courtesy, and second thought, which men never put off, and may deal with him with the simplicity and wholeness with which one chemical atom meets another.”
