It’s funny to think that you may accomplish things without even knowing that you couldn’t do it. It’s kind of like the placebo effect, but in reverse. If someone would have told you you couldn’t do it, maybe you wouldn’t have been able to do it. Think of all of the things you think you can’t do, and question why you think you can’t do them. Can you not do them because you know you can’t, or because you tried them and were not successful? It may be time to try things you once thought you couldn’t do.
There is so much that is wrong with the society we live in. There is so much about ourselves that we wish to change. In an attempt to make ourselves better and to change our society, many times we forget to be grateful for the things we do have. We focus so much on the negative that the positive loses its place in our hearts. Here is a list of some things we all should be grateful for, for gratitude itself is a virtue.

What a sweet quote that reminds us that the only person you’ll ever have your entire life is you, and that if you fall in love with yourself first you’ll have an easier time. The best part about this quote is that it doesn’t mean you can’t find love in another, but if you don’t love yourself you’re going to have trouble attracting that special someone into your life. It starts with you first, and finding a happy place with yourself, which will make others see the value you possess and treat you accordingly.
When your life is in turmoil, think of a waterfall. The water (your life) is flowing along normally at a steady pace when suddenly, there is a dip (event in your life or a problem) which results in the water going into a state of turmoil as it falls deeper and deeper with no sign of an end to the turmoil. Then the water hits the bottom and splashes into a larger state of turmoil (this is the peak before things start to get better) before gradually blending into calm stream again (normality).

Here’s a life lesson that you would be wise to internalize. If you want to greet the world in a fearless way, if you want to be independent, and be victorious in the quest to achieve your goals and dreams, you have to believe you have what it takes first. It’s easy to think that you can have these things without belief, but it starts with belief and you can’t allow anything to come into your life until you believe it first. Memorize this quote, read it everyday until it becomes a part of you, and you’ll see it unfold in your life.
“Some of the biggest challenges in relationships come from the fact that most people enter a relationship in order to get something: they’re trying to find someone who’s going to make them feel good. In reality, the only way a relationship will last is if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give, and not a place that you go to take.”

It’s long since been known that helping others can be a source of joy. What many people overlook, however, is that this help doesn’t have to be in the form of some grand gesture. Because we’re social creatures who constantly take cues from those around us about how to feel, smiling is truly infectious and simply sharing your smile with those around you.
Instead of pondering what the best strategy is to get something done, you just do it. When you focus on getting it done you’ll find ways to get it done better as you’re getting it done. So much time can be wasted on a project or a task just by becoming overwhelmed with the size or the difficulty of it. When you get into the mindset of just doing it, no matter what it involves, you’ll find that the tasks become easier and everything flows.

If you have children, or if you have ever been a child, you know that friendships can be hard, and great friendships can be hard to find.  Learning to share your favorite toys, taking turns, and saying that you are sorry is all part of the process.  As we navigate our way through middle school, we learn more about being a good friend.  What it feels like to have a friend stick up for you in a crowd, to hold you a spot at the lunch table, and to tell you when you have something stuck in your braces.  Sometimes those first best friends are with you into adulthood, and sometimes our friends change as we grow and also change.  We all seek to find that real friend who will be with us through thick and thin.  She tells you when you can find a more flattering pair of jeans, help you find the courage to quit a job that you hate going to, and loves you enough to tell you when the boyfriend you are chasing after, is no good for you. How lucky we are if we have found a best friend.
