There are numberless excuses for not making a difference in this world. Some of these excuses originate from within us. They are the result of our fears and worries. We think ourselves smaller than we actually are, hence we do not realize how great of an impact we can have. In other cases other people want to keep us small, for whatever nefarious reasons.

I love motivational quotes – the simplicity and elegance of a powerful quote sets off an internal spark like few other things in life can. I find it to be great for motivation and goal setting to have them everywhere. I have posters and images all over my office with some of my favorite quotes. When I’m feeling down or lacking vision, sometimes a quick glance is all it takes to get my act together.
If there is something many of us admire about successful people it is that they do not waste their time complaining about the difficulties they encounter. Sometimes it feels as if they did not even notice the hardship; they were too busy looking for a solution. Instead of focusing all their attention upon the problems and challenges, they are actively looking for ways to improve themselves in order to be able to overcome the issues.

I am arrived at last in the presence of a man so real and equal, that I may drop even those undermost garments of dissimulation, courtesy, and second thought, which men never put off, and may deal with him with the simplicity and wholeness with which one chemical atom meets another.”
