An example of using the positivity of affirmations to reinforce your attitudes might be if you feel you are not good enough at work. Creating an affirmation like, “ I am every bit as capable, intelligent, hard-working and dedicated as my colleagues at work". Frequent repetitions of this affirmation will boost your confidence and self-esteem, letting you know that you CAN do your job. This positivity will actually help you do better at work.
If your problems are dragging you down, think of a bow and arrow. the Bow is your problems and the arrow is your life. The bow is dragging you further and further back, but the further back it pulls you, the higher the arrow will fly. So the further you are being dragged back by your problems, the higher you’ll reach in your life when the problems are over and let go.
Your emotional intelligence is your capability to identify, use, understand, and manage your emotions on a positive way to relieve stress, communicate in an effective manner, empathize with those around you, overcome daily challenges, and defuse conflicts. It can impact many different aspects of your life, such as your behavior and how you interact with those around you. Salma Stockdale, Communication Skills
When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.
